Hawaii should let citizens place proposed laws on the statewide ballot by petition.
Hawaii has no statewide citizen initiative, so only the legislature can put measures on the statewide ballot. Adding one would require a constitutional amendment and let voters pass laws directly.

Hawai'i should have both. Currently there is only one method for citizens to amend law, the Constitutional Convention.
